	I’m a founder member of DSW and former Secretary. I graduated as a mature student from Derby Uni where I had a life-changingly great time! I’ve written television scripts, (BBC 1 day time drama ‘Doctors’) Radio 4, and magazine short stories, local radio morning thoughts, features and articles for national and international publications.
I love writing for the theatre, especially pub theatre. It’s great for audiences to access live theatre in familiar and inexpensive surroundings, and it creates brilliant opportunities for writers, directors and actors to learn from each other while developing innovative work for new audiences in non arts venues.
My scripts have been toured and performed in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire and my stage play ‘Special Offer,’ entered in the International Student Playwright Competition in my final year at uni, was selected and performed at the Exeter Festival.
My comedy ‘Barking Mad’ was performed at Derby Playhouse as part of their ‘Cold Turkey’ project and was produced and performed at the Wirksworth Festival by Steve Blakeley (BBC 1 Heartbeat). I co-founded ‘Hard Times Pub Theatre Company' and worked closely with Sustained Magic Theatre Company over their Pub Crawl Tour 2005 and was Project Co-ordinator for the 2006 tour.
I’ve worked on a radio drama script supported by EM Media, and would like to write more for radio as well as continuing to write for ‘Doctors’. I also work as a tutor, and have recently been appointed Creative Writing Tutor at Denman College, Oxford which is a residential College owned and administered by the W.I.
